Frequently Asked Questions

  • I specialize in OCD, anxiety, trauma, and postpartum mental health using evidence-based approaches including ERP and EMDR. I work with adults only via telehealth in RI, MA, and TN.

  • I'm based in Rhode Island and offer telehealth therapy to adults in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Tennessee. All sessions are held via secure video — no commute, no waiting room.

  • Before your first session I'll send you a link to your client portal where you can complete intake paperwork and access your session link. All you need is a private space, a reliable internet connection, and a device with a camera. Many clients find telehealth just as effective as in-person therapy — and often more convenient.

  • At this time I offer telehealth sessions only. This allows me to work with clients across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Tennessee without geographic limitations.

  • Sessions are $175 for 50 minutes. I am private pay and do not bill insurance directly. I provide superbills you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement — many clients receive partial reimbursement this way.

  • A superbill is a detailed receipt I provide for you to submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. It includes all the information your insurance needs to process a claim — diagnosis codes, session dates, and my license information. Many clients receive partial reimbursement this way, which can significantly offset the cost of therapy. If this is something you are interested in, I recommend calling your insurance company before we begin to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.

  • I hold a small number of reduced-fee spots for clients with financial need. Availability is very limited — please inquire when you reach out.

  • Before your first session you'll receive an invitation to my client portal through SimplePractice — a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform where you can complete intake paperwork, sign consent forms, send messages, and access your session link.
Your first session is an intake — a chance for us to get to know each other. I'll ask about your history, your goals, and what brought you here. You don't need to have it all figured out. There's no pressure to share everything at once. By the end we'll have a clearer picture of what we're working on together.

  • It depends on what you're working on and what your needs are. Some people benefit from 12–20 sessions; others work with me longer. We talk about this openly and revisit your goals regularly throughout our work together.

  • Fill out the contact form here and I'll be in touch within 1–2 business days to schedule your free 15-minute consultation. No pressure, no commitment — just a conversation to see if we're a good fit.
